Elena, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. Let’s start with a story that highlights an important way in which your brand diverges from the industry standard. 

I provide real estate services, as well as staging. When I list a house, the staging is FREE, I never charge for the furniture or for the design. Other agents, need to hire a staging company, who of course will charge a fee. I am one-stop show for real estate listings.

Elena, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?

My background, prior to real estate is in Advertising, working for an ad agency with clients across the country; while helping my father in my spare time (who was in construction). Over the years I became more and more interested in construction and real estate while becoming more involved in his projects. Managing a construction site, helping with the design of a custom home, putting advertising campaigns together to sell the properties, to even managing rentals. In early 2012 I finally decided to become a real estate agent, and in 2015 I completed the most comprehensive course to get a home staging certification.

How about pivoting – can you share the story of a time you’ve had to pivot?

When I first started in real estate, when it came to listings, I had to figure things out. Most listings were not ready to be sold, they were just not shown readily. I had to hire a stager to explain to my clients what I already knew. After getting my certificate, my clients now understand and trust me to get their house sold faster and most of the time for more money, especially when the house is vacant.

Any stories or insights that might help us understand how you’ve built such a strong reputation?

I know that everyone says this, but it is so true. Referrals is the best compliment we can get. This is how I was able to grow my business. Just by word of mouth.
